Diver Dies Near Zenobia Shipwreck Off Larnaca Coast
A tragic incident occurred on Saturday morning near the famous Zenobia shipwreck off the coast of Larnaca.
According to the Larnaca Search and Rescue Coordination Center, a report of a diver in danger was received on March 7 at 09:40.
A fast response boat from the Marine and Port Police and an ambulance crew were dispatched to the scene. The victim, identified as a Greek Cypriot, was brought on board the boat and handed over to medical personnel.
The man was transported to Larnaca General Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
The circumstances of the incident are under investigation.
