Woman arrested in Paphos on suspicion of car theft

Paphos police arrested a 27-year-old woman as part of an investigation into a car theft case that occurred in the city on May 12.
According to police reports, officers from the organized crime unit located the wanted vehicle shortly after midnight. The car was found a short time after information about its location was received.
According to the investigation, shortly before this, the woman was spotted getting into the stolen car. When the police approached the vehicle, the suspect got out and attempted to flee.
Police officers stopped the woman, but according to law enforcement, she resisted arrest. Following this, she was taken into custody on the basis of an arrest warrant.
The stolen vehicle was seized as evidence. The investigation into the case is being continued by the Paphos organized crime unit.
