Ippokratous Avenue in Strovolos to fully reopen
The Public Works Department of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announced that from Monday, March 2, 2026, at 12:00, Ippokratous Avenue in Strovolos will be fully open to four lanes of traffic.
Traffic will be restored along the entire length of the street —
from the intersection with Melina Mercouri Street in the west to the intersection with Tseri Avenue (new roundabout) in the east.
The traffic light junction of Karavostasiou and Nikeas streets will also be put into operation in its final configuration.
Despite the opening to traffic, Ippokratous Avenue remains part of a construction site. Equipment and contractor staff will continue to work on the section until the project is fully completed.
Drivers are asked to:
- comply with temporary road markings;
- follow police instructions;
- exercise increased caution.
