Wizz Air resumes flights to Tel Aviv from late May

Wizz Air has announced the resumption of flights to and from Tel Aviv starting May 28. The company called this an important step for restoring air connectivity between Israel and European destinations.
According to carrier representatives, the decision was made following updated recommendations from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and consultations with international and local aviation and security organizations. The company emphasized that the safety of passengers and crews remains the top priority.
According to Wizz Air, flight tickets are already available on the official website and in the airline's mobile app. Meanwhile, the carrier will continue to monitor the situation in the region and adjust the schedule if necessary, in accordance with recommendations from aviation authorities.
The company's Chief Commercial Officer, Ian Malin, stated that Wizz Air maintained a "cautious and balanced approach" when deciding on the return of flights. He noted that the airline is pleased to once again confirm its presence in the Israeli market.
Wizz Air also reported that in 2026, the company plans to transport about 80 million passengers across more than a thousand routes. The resumption of flights to Tel Aviv, according to the carrier, will strengthen the company's position as one of the region's leading low-cost airlines.
