Prohibited pesticides found in two local products

During weekly inspections of food products in Northern Cyprus, non-recommended plant protection products were detected in two local items.
As reported within the framework of food safety controls, samples were taken during routine inspections. Laboratory analyses showed that the two products contained substances that do not comply with current regulations.
Prescribed measures were taken regarding the products, and inspections at retail outlets and among producers are ongoing. Authorities emphasize that regular inspections are aimed at protecting consumer health and preventing unsafe products from entering the market.
