Cyprus betting market showed strong growth at the end of 2025

The betting market in Cyprus continues to demonstrate steady growth. According to the National Betting Authority, in the fourth quarter of 2025, the gross revenue of licensed operators reached 395.5 million euros, which is 22% higher than the figures for the same period in 2024. The main contribution was provided by the online betting sector, which continues to expand actively.

For the entire year of 2025, the total gross revenue of the industry amounted to over 1.32 billion euros, showing an 8% increase compared to the previous year. Of the quarterly revenue, 301.4 million euros came from Class B online operators, while Class A land-based betting brought in 94 million euros.

The growth of the online segment was particularly notable: Class B operator revenues increased by 27% year-on-year. The land-based sector also maintained positive dynamics, adding 9% compared to the fourth quarter of 2024.

The volume of player winnings in the fourth quarter reached 348.1 million euros, a 25% increase from last year's level. The majority of payouts also occurred on online platforms.

Meanwhile, total betting income was 47.3 million euros, an increase of 4%. Online operator income grew by 10%, while betting shop income decreased by 5%.

The number of licensed Class A facilities across the country reached 467. Most betting shops operate in Nicosia and Limassol. At the same time, the number of employees in the industry increased to 1,556 people, a 6% increase compared to the previous year.
